Simplified Skin Care And Environmentally Friendly Packaging

Mintel’s “2030 Global Beauty and Personal Care Trends” shows that zero waste, as one of the sustainable, green and environmentally friendly concepts, will be sought after by the public. Changing beauty products into environmentally friendly packaging and even strengthening the concept of “zero waste” in product ingredients will be favored by consumers.

For example, the skin care brand UpCircleBeauty has used coffee grounds and brewed tea to make cleansing, scrub and soap products. The niche perfume brand Jiefang Orange County has also launched a new perfume with “organic waste” as the raw material. Baby skin care brand Naif also collaborated with Dutch companies Waternet and AquaMinerals to convert calcite residues in Amsterdam drinking water into beauty products, replacing the microbeads in facial scrubs with calcite particles.

In addition, following the trend of pure beauty, “simplified skin care” will also develop rapidly in the next ten years. In this field, more and more brands have been at the forefront. The Japanese brand MiraiClinical implements the concept of less is more, and their leading products only contain squalane. The British brand Illuum implements the brand concept of “Youserve fewer products”. The skin care series launched only offers 6 products, most of which contain only 2-3 ingredients, aiming to provide the skin with the required nutrition.

“Zero waste” and “simplified skin care” will become the mainstream, and environmentally friendly packaging, sustainable, green, and environmentally friendly concepts will be favored.
